Mary Gardner is currently director of business development and marketing at Lamm and Company Partners (www.lammco.com).
Her diverse background in the entertainment, marketing, sales and communications fields supplied Mary with hands-on experience and established her expertise in effective communications.
After earning her B.A. in Mass Communications from Auburn University , Mary worked on Capitol Hill for Senator Paul Laxalt when he served on the Subcommittee of Criminal Law (a division of the Judiciary Committee). From there, she began a seven-year association as a celebrity lecture agent with Keppler Speakers, one of the foremost speaker bureaus in the country in Arlington , Virginia . While at Keppler, she worked with many renowned personalities, including Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., syndicated columnist, William F. Buckley and Suzanne Somers. She then trained with Coach University and started coaching in the areas of speeches, public speaking, public relations, personal branding, sales, communication skills and Charisma!
In 1998, Mary founded The Coaches Certification Institute in Princeton , New Jersey , the first East coast based ‘In Person’ Coach training school. She also trained at Coach University . A few of her clients have included professional athletes Billie Jean King, Martina Navratilova, Peggy Fleming, Bernard King, and numerous TV Anchors, executives and professionals.
Mary has served and enjoys the role as “Master of Ceremonies” at numerous national conferences and she has spoken to corporate and college audiences across the country. Her passion and penchant for powerful communication techniques and style, along with her charismatic personality, have made her a highly sought-after speaker and trainer for both audiences. Among the many large corporate clients Mary has worked with are Mercedes Benz, Computer Associates, The Mony Group and numerous Wall Street financial institutions.
Mary is a regular business columnist for the Orlando Business Journal, a Hearst Publication. Her column, “Get Connected” takes a look at how communication is changing in the new marketplace. Mary’s book, Insider’s Guide To Professional and Motivational Speaking which is available as a download on the Internet. She co-wrote a story featured in the 6th addition of the international best seller, Chicken Soup for the Soul. Her published articles appear in dozens of national publications specializing in the areas of professional speaking, developing charisma, and communication. Mary’s television experience is extensive. She has reported, anchored and has been featured on national TV news programs such as Nightline, The Today Show, The Early Show, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC among other networks. Mary appeared on the ABC TV John Stossel special “Social Cruelty, The In-Crowd” teaching “charisma skills” to students and has appeared in most of the top 30 local television markets in cities such as Dallas, Boston, New York City, San Francisco, Miami, Cleveland, Baltimore, Seattle, Phoenix, Tampa and Atlanta. She was the “Gal Around Town” for the FOX news in Charlotte , NC . She was the Lifestyles Editor for The Tony Trupiano Show on the Talk America Radio Network, hosted the regional talk show, CaféToday, and appeared frequently on the popular cable channel, QVC. A few times a year, Mary does TV tours to promote her gift and Lifestyle ideas and the causes she promotes.
Mary’s new book, “Blessed Chaos! A family Journey of ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Frustration, Faith and Food! Is due out in Feburary 2010.
Mary is a marathoner, a swimmer and a volunteer for numerous organizations, Mary is married and has a son, 10 and lives in Winter Park, FL.
